Quality Technician (CMM)

Reporting to: Senior Quality Engineer

Objective: Support the department internal activities related to part inspection. Prepare and record inspection reports and related documentation in line with the document control requirements. Develop gauging strategy and CMM programming to existent and new products. Interact with the other departments to improve productivity in our manufacturing processes on matters related to quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify product requirements, and thus provide a satisfactory level of measurement and process control support.
  • Non-conforming parts analysis.
  • Quality documentation and records.
  • Manual / CMM product inspection and records.
  • Creation of inspection reports
  • Generate offline, online and record CMM programs.
  • Perform Equipment TPM (Total Preventive Maintenance)
Additional Working Hours
  • As and when required, in line with employment contract.
Key Competencies
  • Experience in metrology (reading technical drawings and interpreting geometric features/tolerances) within a precision engineering environment.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in manual inspection using conventional measurement equipment and 2 years in CMM programming, using PCDMIS software.
  • Good level computer literate to user level, MS Office.
  • High level of discipline and organisation.
